About JP University (JPU)
Jai Prakash University was established in 1990 to cater to the needs of high and quality education for the people of Saran Memorial. It is situated on the outskirts of Chhapra city covering an approximate area of 280 acres. The university offers courses in most subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The university consists of 21 constituents and 12 affiliated colleges in Chhapra, Siwan, and Gopalganj districts. In addition, the university also has 16 affiliated B.Ed. The college, an engineering college named Loknayak Jai Prakash Engineering College, and the recently proposed medical college.
